Collin County Grand Jury Indictment (July 2015)

Collin County District Court

Two first-degree felony securities fraud charges and one third-degree felony for failure to register. The indictment alleged Paxton recruited investors for Servergy Inc. without disclosing his commission arrangement.

House Vote Record (May 27, 2023)

Texas House Journal

The 121-23 vote to impeach Attorney General Ken Paxton. The bipartisan vote made Paxton only the third sitting official impeached in Texas history and triggered automatic suspension from office.

Original Whistleblower Complaint (2020)

Travis County District Court

Filed by four of the eight senior officials from the Texas Attorney General's office under the Texas Whistleblower Act. The complaint alleged they were retaliated against for reporting Paxton's alleged misconduct, including bribery and abuse of office, to law enforcement in September 2020.

FBI Referral Letter (September 2020)

Court Filings

Letter from senior Attorney General staff to the FBI reporting allegations of bribery and corruption involving Paxton and donor Nate Paul. The letter detailed concerns about misuse of office and improper intervention in legal matters benefiting Paul.

Court Judgment — Whistleblower Case (April 2025)

Travis County District Court

Travis County Judge Catherine Mauzy ruled the AG's office violated the Texas Whistleblower Act and awarded $6.6 million to the four whistleblower plaintiffs. Paxton initially appealed but dropped the appeal in July 2025. The judgment was paid with taxpayer funds.

Supreme Court of the United States

Texas's motion for leave to file a bill of complaint challenging election results in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Michigan, and Wisconsin. The lawsuit alleged these states violated the Constitution by making election law changes without legislative approval. It sought to invalidate millions of votes and overturn Joe Biden's victory.

Order Denying Motion (December 11, 2020)

The Supreme Court's rejection of Texas's lawsuit for lack of standing. The unsigned order stated that Texas had not demonstrated a judicially cognizable interest in how other states conduct their elections. The decision effectively ended Paxton's attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election through the courts.

Texas State Securities Board

Fine issued to Ken Paxton for soliciting investment clients without proper registration with the state securities board. This violation occurred while Paxton was serving in the Texas House of Representatives and predated his indictment on securities fraud charges.

Divorce Filing (July 10, 2025)

Angela Paxton's divorce petition citing adultery "on biblical grounds." The filing came after years of public scrutiny regarding Ken Paxton's alleged extramarital affair with a former staffer and donor Nate Paul associate.

Media Motion to Unseal Divorce Records (2025)

Filed by the Texas Tribune, ProPublica, and Texas Newsroom seeking to unseal portions of the Paxton divorce proceedings. Media organizations argued that the case involves matters of significant public interest given Ken Paxton's position as a public official.
